The Chinese Embassy in Germany has confirmed local authorities have launched an investigation into a sexual assault that victimized a female Chinese student in Dusseldorf.

The Chinese Consulate-General in Dusseldorf has contacted ith local police, urging them to do everything possible to solve the case.

A Weibo post, allegedly from the victim, claims that she as raped and mugged by a refugee.
